I teach IB History only, with most of my work around Paper 2 essays and HL European history. I started tutoring while completing my master’s and now work mainly with students who know the content but struggle to turn it into a clear argument. I like sessions to be quite practical: we mark past answers, rebuild weak paragraphs, and practise using historiography without forcing it in. I also cover exam timing.

I’ve been tutoring IB History for seven years, mostly online. My favourite topics are authoritarian states and Cold War case studies, because students can improve quickly once the comparisons are clear. I also help with the IA, especially narrowing the question and avoiding descriptive writing. I’m fairly direct in lessons, but I keep them relaxed and focused on what the student actually needs that week.

My background is in modern European history, and I tutor IB History only. I have taught students taking both SL and HL, with a lot of support on Paper 1 source work and Paper 3 Italy, Germany, and interwar Europe. Hi, I’m an IB History tutor who works best with students who feel a bit buried by the course. I studied contemporary history and later supported DP students with IA planning, Paper 2 comparisons, and exam timing. I’m especially interested in rights and protest movements, but I’m happy working through war, diplomacy, or single-party state topics. Lessons are structured but not stiff, and I set small tasks.
